PERSONAL PRONOUNS

Personal pronouns can be singluar or plural. They can be the subjects or the objects of verbs.

Examples:
  • I see them every day. 
  • He knows her.
  • Look at me.
  • Give us a present!

Use it to refer to a thing or an animal, and sometimes to a baby. 
-Lovely baby! Is it a boy or a girl?

It is also used with time and weather: 
-It's five o'clock. 
-It's raining.

TO BE AND SHORT ANSWERS


TO BE

To be can refer to ” now” or to a permanent state. But it can also have other meanings. 
Examples: 
1. He isn’t here.
2. She‘s a secretary.
3. We are 16. 
4. I‘m cold!


Questions with tobe are easy. Change the word order. 

Examples: 1. Are you happy? 2. Are we late?

Sentences:
1. She is not hungry now.
2. The weather is really nice in May.
3. These books are so boring!
4. How old are your dad?
